Bon courage à vous !

I gave the game a shot and for the most part, it was ok. It might be just the game being a bad match for me, but I had a hard time just trying to figure out if the controls were working properly for me when I am trying to protect myself from the witches. But I will say that the game's solid.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/c/Levont

Hello Levont! Thank you for trying out our demo prototype. 😺

Sorry you had an hard time with the controls. It's definitely a difficult and complex game, far away from the more straightforward defense mechanisms other classic horror games can have.
Here, you're thrown into the horror pit while having to familiarize with rather original ways of countering things, so we are not very surprised that some players can have difficulties.

Nevertheless, we'll be improving the learning curve in the final game, with a proper in-game tutorial, so feel free to give it another try in the future. 😸

Gave it a Let's Play, but I cannot for the life of me understand what to do with the teeth-chattering 'demon/aunt'. It feels like I encountered numerous bugs that haltered the experience for me, Shift-Left/Shift-Up didn't work but Shift-Right/Down worked fine. There were many times when the character refused to speak whenever I clicked on lore-items even when I wasn't in danger, like as if the Danger-phase and Calm-phase overlapped eachother, I can see great potential in this and I know its a 'Prototype demo', so I'd be fine coming back later when things get more known or refined, I can see it definitely being a good or great experience once all things get ironed and polished nicely.

My only question too is, is progress tied to how much lore you're able to click during the calm moments? Or is Lore only there via clicking objects and listening to what she says, is just Optional lore that you can decide to listen to or not?

Hello Neco! Thank you for giving it a try. 😸

For the Red Fairy, counter her is a bit tricky, yes. You'll definitely have to "keep an insisting eye on her".

For the Shift-Left/Shift-Up, we never had this problem reported before. This is odd, we'll investigate, thank you.

For the fact you can't speak, like hinted in the tutorial, candles can have a soothing effect. The trick is to look at them with your cursor long enough when you are safe! Then you'll be able to interact again with your surroundings when you have a clear mind. She cannot interact while there is a danger in the room, even if not visible (that can help you to be aware of it) so be very careful of sound cues when they appear.

And last but not least, the progress is indeed tied to how much lore you discover during one night. Certain pages of the story are tied to voicelines, that you have to find. Some are easy, some are more tricky, like treasure hunts. There's an optimal and ideal "path", up to you to find it! Not all voicelines unlock pages, but some reveal very interesting informations nonetheless, if you're into the story and theories. The difficulty is to juggle between this research, and countering the threats.

Anyway, thank you again for your video, feedback and kind words! Hope our answer helps.
